Dance/Light, 2022

My First Dance/Light was an absolute dream. I was a part of three wonderful pieces - “BloodFlood”, by Mariana Garzon, “Tank!” by Sabrina Zanello Jackson, Julia Levine, and Liggera Edmonds-Allen, and then I was blessed enough to choreograph my own dance - “Without you”. The Show was live-streamed for two nights with masks, due to the Omicron COVID-19 Surge, but we were able to watch other pieces in the audience in between our own during Dress rehearsals, so I still felt like I performed.

I was asked to choreograph this by Brayden Co, who ended up being my assistant choreographer and also performed in the piece by playing live music. My Dancers were Alec Ludacka and Julianna Austin, The Costume designer was Claire Duncan, Lighting design was by Pablo Anton, and our wonderful Stage Manager was Sidney Rubinowicz! I poured my whole heart and soul into this dance and the entire team was so passionate and dedicated and hard working, and everyone did an incredible job. This was a dream come true, my love for choreography has emerged once again, and I cannot wait for next year!
